Microsoft HoloLens development Edition

Microsoft Hololens development

A year ago Microsoft demonstrated about their Microsoft Hololens technology. They have been in contact with developers for creating Holographic future together. They also claimed that they have made a lot of progress with this technology. Developers have suggested lot of ideas and contributed to its ecosystem using  “Share your Idea” campaign.

Microsoft have also introduced new partners like Volvo cars, Autodesk fusion 360. Also, continuing their progress with existing partners like NASA. To set an example here, NASA is also operational with this technology. Last year they have experienced or viewed surface of Mars using Hololens technology. NASA have delivered HoloLens for Astronauts in International Space station.

Developers will start receiving invitation to purchase for Microsoft hololens development Edition. The shipping will begin on March 30, 2016. Microsoft have take step forward to make it available to consumers.

The Microsoft holoLens Development Edition

HoloLens is fully-tethered and self-contained. It enables the holographic computing. without the need of external wires, cameras and connection to computer, it can show us the amazing view of HoloLens technology.

The Device consists of multiple environment understanding sensors. It is powered by custom built Holographic processing unit(HPU) and a 32-bit Intel Architecture. The custom silicon used in this technology understands gestures and mapping in real time.

How it works ?

It has Optical Lens that project the objects in the real world using low latency. The best Holographic Experience using the hologram which is point rich. Hololens have the density of 2.5K radiants. when there will be more light points and radiants, the hologram will be more brighter and richer.

HoloLens contains advanced sensors to capture information about what you are doing in environment you’re in. The built in cameras enables you to record the mixed reality pictures and share to others even they don’t have HoloLens.
