Mediatek Helio P10 processor for low power devices

Mediatek Helio P10

Mediatek Helio P10 processor is the mainstream processor. It is not as powerful as Helio X20 and X10. They are the powerful processor with 10-cores or 8-cores. It is the flagship processor of mediatek. But, Mediatek Helio P10 is the mainstream processor. It is also world’s first processor to use 28 nm HPC+ process. This processor stated as low power processor consumes 30 % less of existing smartphones which is manufactures in same 28 nm technology. The “P” in the SoC model name stands for “premium performance” whereas the high-end tri-cluster Helio X20 denotes “extreme performance”.

Connectivity and Performance

This processor features latest connectivity. Now connecting to this world with latest technology is need for every user. Third generation 4G LTE modem with cat-6 supports faster data transfer rates and outstanding connectivity. The silicon chip is clocked at 2 GHz with 8-core Cortex A-53 CPU for fastest performance.

The chip also supports full HD display with 60 fps refresh rate. for graphics, there is a dual core 64-bit Mali GPU for uncompromised user experience. The display comes with Miravision 2.0 technologies. It includes UltraDimming, BluLight Defender, and Adaptive Picture Quality.

  • UltraDimming – Dimmer background lighting for more comfortable reading, even in low-light situations.
  • BluLight Defender – A built-in blue light filter that saves more power than conventional software applications.
  • Adaptive Picture Quality – Ensures the best picture quality when using different applications. True-to-life colors when in camera preview; vibrant colors when watching videos.
Camera and Audio

Camera Quality is good as it supports upto 21 MP single camera. It also supports 16 MP + 8 MP dual camera.  ISP Engine for sensor light capture, enhanced color resolution. This Mainstream CPU  also supports for High Fidelity sounds. I don’t think they support 5.1 or 7.1 sounds as there is no dedicated audio hardware built in it. X series is better in camera with 2160p video recording

Mediatek P10 also uses Heterogenous computing. It combines the power of CPU and GPU. It can also distribute workloads into CPU, GPU or both. Mediatek P10 can handle Heart monitoring applications using Heterogeneous computing.

It is also said that p10 is going to replace popular MT6752 SoC, found in the Meizu m1 note, Lenovo A7000 and Sony Xperia C4 among others.
